Prayer Ministry
The First United Methodist Church of San Gabriel has several prayer groups that pray for all that ask for help.
There is a Prayer Chain that responds immediately to people's needs for prayer. Once the Church Office is notified the first person in the chain is called and they call the second person and then stops what they are doing and prays for the need. This continues until all the members of the chain are praying for the needs.
Prayer needs can also be communicated at the Sunday Services and prayers are offered at the service and the need is passed on to the Prayer Group.
There are two prayer meetings:
- at the Monrovia Canyon Park every Saturday at 7:45am
- at the Church, held every Saturday at 8:30am, .
