How we Serve God in our Community and in the World

The First United Methodist Church of San Gabriel has several ways to serve the community and the World.

We have groups that serve the local congregation (United Methodist Men, Sunday School Teachers, several Choirs, etc)

We have prayer groups that pray for not only the congregation but anyone that needs the help of God.

We have groups that work for world missions (United Methodist Women UMW and the Commission on Missions) .

We have groups that provide needed information to the community like the Health Forum.

We also have many members that take active part in supporting community groups like People for People, that help the poor in the community, and United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) that help people in need throughout the World.

We have opened our doors to share the Church buildings for community groups such as Boy and Girl scoots of America and a Japanese Pre-School.

Come and be part of this diversified, enthusiastic and caring congregation.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God-- not because of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them" Ephesians 2:8-10.
